What’s in my room
So I recently had someone over at my house for the first time last month and they couldn’t help but decry “My gods Woody! Your room is so small and cluttered! What the hell is all this stuff?!?” Or something like that. But since then I’ve been meaning to compile a list of all the things that I am keeping in my 10 by 12 foot living space. Well, all the interesting things anyway. So, in no particular order, here’s the list of all that I can see as I sit here writing in the centre of the room:
-2 telescopes. One small one made from scratch by me, another I mean to disassemble for parts to build a better one
-several strange metal cases under the table containing: one paintball pistol, a collection of telescope lenses, one tool set, and a tiny metal treasure chest with no treasure in it.
-shelf next to the door containing all manner of random film equipment and some of my undergarments (clean and waiting to be used).
-my bed, which is actually a futon folded out. I like the extra stiff mattress that was on it plus it’s double the width of my old bed.
-my old bed, which is currently stood upright in the far corner
-a bookshelf posessing a random collection of manuals, books, and pencils
-a bag containing my firearms (out of reach of any child)
-and finally, a table, atop which one can see a small collection of lego (yes I’m a kid sometimes
), a silver metal carton with my 1920’s mad scientist goggles, several containers of random craft materials (electronic components, sawdust, paints, glues, etc), a dead 1986 macintosh computer shell, and a box of wood pieces left over from when I built my nephew’s toy train set.
I think that’s all rather reasonable isn’t it?
